ARTISTRY EXACT FIT LONGWEAR FOUNDATION REVIEW

Hi everyone!

I am always up for trying some new makeup products, especially in the name of finding a holy grail! I have seen a real buzz online surrounding the Artistry Exact Fit foundation so I wanted to see for myself what all the hype was about. I was approached by the lovely ladies over at Rachel Dalton Communication and jumped at the chance to try some products from the brand.

Naturally the first product I'm going to discuss is the Artistry Exact Fit long wearing foundation. The foundation itself comes in the most beautiful packaging, one thing I've noticed about any Artistry products I've owned is that they have a fine eye for detail. The lid of the bottle has a special closure on it so there is no way that's popping open in your makeup bag.The bottle itself has an ombre effect starting at black and works its way down to the colour of the product inside, nifty touch.  It has a gorgeous golden A at the top of the lid which is consistent with other products in the range.

I have been testing the foundation out for weeks now as I really like to trial a foundation before putting my name to it. You can find a first impressions of the foundation here.
This is the brands description for the foundation:
NEW Artistry EXACT FIT Longwearing Foundation is your key to natural-looking, round-the-clock foundation.  Working as hard as you do, this exceptional, medium- coverage, matte foundation hides imperfections effortlessly, whilst enhancing the skin’s natural, radiant glow.

The foundation is designed for all skin types and they say in particular it is aimed towards those with normal to oily skin, I completely agree as I did notice the foundation ''locks'' onto the skin to remain long lasting and would most likely show case drier patches through out the day. The foundation itself is 30ml or 1 fluid ounce and comes in a variety of 13 shades, so really everyone except for the very pale are covered! I received the shade L1W1 which is the shade 'buff' a relatively light foundation shade (around a MAC nc10) it is the lightest foundation in the neutral tone range so it won't be too pink or yellow on your skin. I love that this foundation has an SPF 15 in it which has UVA and UVB protection which is so important for your skins well being. The pump itself has a twist lock so no product will squirt out once secured - avoiding those makeup disasters we all encounter!

At first I was unsure about this foundation, I had read reviews else where online that stated it was a bit hard to blend but I found it blended quite well for me. I did however apply lots of moisturiser and primer before hand to really prep the skin, the damp beauty blender also helped to blend it out. As I'm such a fan of full coverage foundation I'm so used to using my Sigma F80 foundation brush but really this foundation works best with your fingers or a sponge. Brushes appear to push this around the face, sponges seem to pat it into the skin which gave me a really nice coverage, the brand state that it is a natural medium coverage but I was actually incredibly impressed with the coverage I got from it.

The coverage is not full coverage though and you will need a concealer under your eyes if you suffer from dark circles like I do. The finish is definitely matte and once dried it really does stay where it's placed. Once I had applied highlighter though i loved that the rest of the face was matte, it wasn't too dry looking and that's saying a lot for a girl with dry skin. My T-zone can be a bit oily at times and I found the foundation stayed on my face and was still fully in tact around my nose 9 hours after I first applied it.

This foundation is definitely for the every day use and not for a full coverage event. I feel this foundation would work well on many different women particularly those who want to even out their complexion and not worry about foundation needing to be retouched during the day. The price tag is rather pricey at €48 but a little goes a long way.
